ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SUNDAY, AUGUST 27, 2006:
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL this year was a great success again, and this is largely due to those who helped out so much. We had up to 14 students, 4 teenage helpers to adult teacher and the pastor. Thank you to Elaine, Brenda, and Donna for organizing and volunteering. Thank you to Pam who decorated the downstairs in an unbelievable way. Thank you to our younger volunteers; namely, Nick, Alex, Katie, and Christopher. Thank you also to all those who supplied snacks, drinks, hot dogs, and all of the other treats we had and finally, thanks to everyone for their support.

THE FLOWERS ON THE ALTAR this morning have been placed in loving memory of Jamie Mahoney who tragically passed away 10 years ago.
CONTEMPORARY PRAYER AND PRAISE SERVICE will be held on Sunday, September 24 at 9:30 AM. (The 4th Sunday)
VOTERS' MEETING RESULTS: A Special Voters' Meeting was held after the service last Sunday as Pastor Orlowski was asked to help out at Christ Lutheran School on a 1/2 time basis for this coming school year. The request was granted with the understanding that his full-time ministry at Emmanuel comes first, then the needs of his family, and then the School. It is to be 1/2 time only (mornings) with a review in 4 months and he is able to step aside at the school at any time should someone else become available. He will also be ending his services to Bethel Lutheran as of September 17. More details will be in the church minutes. Pastor Orlowski truly appreciates your support and is so happy to see that Christ Lutheran School is a mission project this congregation is willing to support.
